Take The Long Road To The Club!!!

Another incredible remix by Deadmau5. This is a track that I am sure you might have heard from the "Ministry of Sound: Progressions 2008". It is again, a perfect end of the night song. I tried to find the original mix of this song but I had to use the version from the CD, I will try to find another one without the mixes coming in and out of other songs. Hope you like it!

Also, check out the song being played at one of his live sets at The Electric Ballroom. I really enjoy this better for 2 reasons; 1 - the song is longer and 2, you can hear the piano much more. Let me know what you think!

The song starts off at 21:00 minutes.

Coachella Anyone?!?!?!?

So one of the biggest festivals of the year is happening at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California (close to Palm Springs) from April 16-18. As one of the most prestige festivals in the USA, it gets only the biggest names of alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. Last year, despite economic hardships, Coachella had its second best turn-out ever with over 166,000 party-goers! A friend and myself decided, why not go this year? With a huge line-up that is sure to entertain anyone, the only thing stopping us would be............ya nothing, were going!

Here are some of the electronic artists that will be there for 2010:
Friday - Benny Benassi, Ceu, Deadmau5, Erol Alkan, Jay-Z (worth mentioning), LCD Soundsystem, Passion Pit, Proxy, and Wolfgang Gartner
Saturday - 2manydj's (dj set), Bassnectar, David Guetta, Dirty South, Hot Chip, Kaskade, Major Lazer, MGMT, Temper trap, and Tiesto
Sunday - Gorrilaz and Infected Mushrooms

Hot weather, booze, electro, and probably hotties galore, I think it its a great idea for anyone who is interested in 1 or all 4 of those things. Let me know if your semi interested as nothing is for sure yet!!!

The "Dirty Dutch Movement"

Alright, so I'm going introduce you to the new sound that is sweeping Holland and becoming increasingly popular worldwide. Its a sound that has been commonly called "Dirty Dutch" due to the fact that a lot of the DJ/Producers are coming from Holland with the same type of sound. The sound consists of a twisted mash-up of House, Urban, Electro, Techno, and Minimal Techno. It is compiled with high notes and underlining hidden bass lines. Its not as heavy as most like but still fun to party to. The DJ/Producers who are getting the reputation for this sound are mainly Chuckie, Afrojack, and Sidney Samson. Also, Laidback Luke to some extent! Just a reminder, Chuckie came through with one of the hottest tracks "Bass Kick In Miami" so if you like that, I will make a post on just his tracks for you to get. Unreal!

Dirty Dutch originally started with Chuckie headlining a party/festival at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam in 2005 with about 6000 party-goers in attendance. Since then the attendance has grown t0 20,000 then to 28,000 in 2009 (venue changed in Amsterdam Ria to give more capacity). With a sold out event in 2010, its going to be one of the best parties in the Netherlands as its become Hollands Number 1 dance event.

Tracks
TO COME----> they are on my external hard drive so I won't be able to post them for about a week. I will pick the best dirty dutch tracks for you to hear.

Live Sets
Dirty Dutch Radio (Live On Radio FG - Paris; 01-16-2010) - Chuckie.mp3
I just listened to this last night after I posted it, not the best example of this type of music so I will post tracks that are classified in the "Dirty Dutch" category. Apologies!

This is an hour set of Chuckie's most recent Radio FG broadcast...not his best work so I will post individual tracks in the next few days.

Chuckie plays an hour set on the French Radio station - Radio FG (the equivalent to BBC Radio 1) from 1Am-2AM (Friday night - Saturday morning), after Laidback Luke's hour, and right before the live broadcast for PACHA Ibiza. Highly recommend you get an account (its in french so its guess and test on the registration but pretty basic) if you like dance music. Best Dj's and wicked shows!

Videos
This is one of the live sets Chuckie played in Amsterdam @ Escape. Check it out, three cameras streaming good quality sound and video:

Hope you guys enjoy this! Let me know if you want any postings from any of your favourite DJ's. I will find some sick remixes of your favourite tracks. Let me know!

Afrojack In The Mix!!!

I stumbled across this mix from one of my DJ buddies over in Sydney, Aus. It was on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show a week or so ago from the rising Dutch DJ, Afrojack. Afrojack is a rising star of the "Dirty Dutch Movement" and has remixed the likes of David Guetta and Kid Cudi. Give it a listen and see what you think. I will post more of the "Dirty Dutch" sound in the next couple days...you can tell my job is boring eh! fml!

the file is an m4a format whatever that means but it plays on my computer so it should play on yours (lots of CDR). Give it a chance, if you listen to the next few posts of Dirty Dutch and you like it, let me know and I can post more. Tracklist for this mix is in the comments link at the bottom!

Can you feel it in YOUR bones???

So today's post is a compilation that Tiesto did with Calgary based Indie Pop/Rock, Tegan and Sara. Its a pretty good song that Tiesto through down at every stop on his Kaleidoscope World Tour. This isn't the usual type of song you would hear from Tiesto, but still a good one. The lyrics are exactly what you need for a dance song, short & catchy!!! Enjoy!!!

Perfect song to end the night!

Bang Your Head!!!

So I came across one of my new favorite songs, this track is an absolute must-have. The original comes from the 41 year old DJ/Producer, Orlando Voorn, but is remixed by none other than Deadmau5. Everyone knows Deadmau5 style of hard hitting kick drums, and this is nothing different, in fact this track may have some of the sickest bass lines I've heard in a while. I love the breaks you get with the vocals, followed by ridiculous bass lines that will get any party jumping around. Enjoy this cause songs like this are few and far between!!!

First of all, I wan to apologize for the lack of posts lately. I have been fairly busy with work and I just haven't found time. So here I am at work, bored out of my fucking mind, and decided it was time to post some of the sets from the biggest New Years Parties around the world that rang in the decade.
